Liam loves his new train table, mostly climbing on top of it and acting like "Liam Godzilla" destroying the Western logging town! While he was in destruction mode, he took some time out and did this...It just cracked me up!

A Cozy Christmas
This year, instead of running between all our parents' houses, we tried to host our first Christmas Eve, a "Cozy Christmas." Liam's grandparents all came to us this year so we didn't have to rush here and there. Overall, I think it was a successful new tradition! We picked a theme of a "Cozy Christmas" and everything went with that. The presents included slippers, PJ's and pillows. The menu was all yummy comfort food - bacon wrapped water chestnuts, mini hotdogs, yummy gooey pizza dip, ham, and broccoli cheese soup. We had chocolate and banana pie, along with delicious Main Street Cupcakes! YUM!
If I had to pick a favorite "highlight" of this first year, it would have to be when the bacon wrapped water chestnuts, deliciously cooking in the oven, set off the smoke detectors, causing Layla to have a meltdown, right as my mother, Aunt Patty and mother-in-law walked in, to our smoke filled great room, might I add! Needless to say, we did not make the second batch, even though they were absolutely yummy! My broccoli cheese soup was also a misfire. It was the thickest cheese soup ever, and I basically made enough to feed an army! No soup next year!

Layla wants a taste of those cupcakes!

Liam wishes you a Merry Christmas
I don't know how, but Liam learned how to say "Ho ho ho!" He started saying it one day when he saw a Santa, and continues to do it each time he sees one! I think it's just the cutest thing! Enjoy!
Seeing Santa
Liam saw two different Santas this year!
One was at Petco so that he could take a Santa picture with Layla. That Santa wasn't exactly what we were looking for....well, you take a look.
The other Santa was a Summit Mall. We were pretty surprised that he did great with both! Check out the photos and video below!

Heritage Farms - Christmas Tree
Last weekend we traveled to Heritage Farms in Peninsula to pick out our Christmas tree. It was a beautiful snowy day! We browsed and looked for over an hour, but decided to get a pre-cut tree there. The men there weren't surprised because most of the best trees were cut down Thanksgiving weekend. We'd find trees that were CLOSE to being "perfect" but were a little too bare. The tree we found is large and full and perfect!
Dada
Liam LOVES saying Dada. I think he uses it when refering to myself or Tom, but Tom thinks he knows who Dada is, he just likes to say it a lot. In this video, he is definitely saying it at Tom as he is bundled up and waiting for Daddy to get in the car so we can pick out our Christmas tree!
Uh-oh!
Liam has definitely learned uh-oh and 3 different kinds at that! There is the happier "uh-uh,", the mildly upset "uh-oh" and the sad "uh-oh." I have been trying to video him doing these, but he'll never do them when I have the camera on! Here are the best of the uh-oh's. In the phone video, you will also see his favorite thing to do - throwing things!
Happy Holidays!
It has been so fun this holiday season! Liam likes all the decorations and the snow! Tom's least favorite decoration is my very awesome jingle bells! I'm glad Liam loves them as much as I do!
