Liam had his first experience trick or treaing tonight. Overall, he thought it was just okay. He was annoyed his monkey hat kept covering his eyes, but the wagon ride was fun and there were pretty lights all around! He liked walking up to the houses instead of being carried up, and definitely liked when he could see other little kids. One little Elmo even offered him a lick from her lollipop!
Afterwards, Liam just liked playing with his candy! Of course, Mommy and Daddy divided it all up and Liam got a Goldfish Graham Cracker, that Layla ate half of it, and a bite of a Reese Peanut Buttercup! Maybe next year buddy!

Walking the Dog
Liam very much wants to actually walk Layla, not just help me walk her. That would not be a good idea. So, we got Liam his own little doggy and he loves to take "Brownie" on a walk around the house!
Halloween Party
Liam visited me at school for our Halloween Parade and Party. He loved seeing all the kids! And the kids were just as excited to see him! He really liked watching them play cornhole and just giggled the whole time! I think he thinks Mommy's work is fun and can't wait to visit again!
Pumpkin Carving
I don't think Liam knew what to think about carving the pumpkin. One minute he was scared of the pulp and seeds and the next he was getting into it. Layla wanted to eat all the seeds!! And then Liam was obsessed with picking up the bowl with all the goo and dumping it out! It was exciting to say the least!
Me DO!
Liam is learning how to feed himself! It's messy, but he's just so cute! When Tom was little, he said he always would want to do everything himself - "Me Do" as we call it. Liam is slowly developing this too. In this video, he wants us to help him eat, but tonight at dinner, he did not want any help at all! He's a stubborn boy sometimes!
"AYE!"
Tom taught Liam his "first word" as he calls it - AYE! Liam loves walking around, pointing at things and shouting it. Oh no!

Flashlight Movie
The other night, Tom and I turned off the lights in Liam's room and had him play with his flashlight. It has different caps to put on the top to change the color and picture. Liam loves taking the caps off. He played for about 30 minutes with it. And as you can see (or hear) he totally has a major meltdown at the end (around 4 minutes 15 seconds) when we want to clean up! (Warning: It's SUPER loud, plus I scream too)
I know this is very long, but it's my first experiment with Movie Maker. I made it more for us than for the blog, but it's too cute not to share!

Dancing with Ellen
Liam LOVES dancing! He dances when he hears music, when we sing, when he wants milk, when something's funny, etc. We watch Ellen regularly and lately, whenever Ellen puts on her music to dance, Liam will join right in! I am determined to get a clip of him dancing "with Ellen" on her show this year!
My Favorite Face!
Unfortunately, I taught Liam this little trick. I think I even show it in another video, but it cracks me up more than anything! I just love this and could watch it all day!
Happy Birthday Daddy!
Liam definitely liked Daddy's birthday because he got round two with sweets! Liam definitely liked licking the frosting! Too cute! I just wanna smooch all over those chocolate lips!
BOOKS!
Liam loves books! Some days he can sit with a book for hours (ok, minutes) and keep himself entertained. Some books he asks us to read to him all the time (dang you Brown Bear!) and he developing a routine with others. He loves going to look for new books too! I'm glad I passed that gene onto him!

The Pumpkin Patch
We took Liam to his first trip to the pumpkin patch! We actually went to two in Peninsula - Heritage Farms and Szalay's Market. Liam definitely liked walking around and seeing all the fall items everywhere! Plus, he looks adorable next to pumpkins! Here he is trying to help Daddy pick out a pumpkin:

Liam's First Birthday
Liam's first birthday party was a wonderful day of celebration! Thank you to our family and friends that helped make the day so special!
My mom had told me of an old Polish tradition in which the baby "predicts" their future. Check it out!
Happy Birthday to Liam!

Happy Birthday to Liam!
Liam is ONE!
For Liam's official first birthday, Tom and I took the day off to enjoy it with our baby boy! Unfortunately, that included a doctor's visit first thing in the morning that pretty much set the whole day askew! Oh well! After the doctor's, we headed to Main Street Cupcakes to pick out a yummy cupcake for Liam. Fittingly, he picked Birthday Cake! We came home, changed into shorts, since it was so hot, and headed off to the Akron Zoo!
After the zoo, Liam had a complete sneeze meltdown! Poor kid! We stripped him down, let him tear into his cupcake and followed that off with a bath! Afterwards, he opened all his presents from us, including an awesome ball pit and tunnel contraption! Daddy seemed to have more fun with it than Liam! While Tom tried to pitch the balls into the hoops and holes, Liam laughed his little butt off! I could watch this all day long!
Liam eventually had a complete tired meltdown after a day of too much partying! I guess we learned our lesson NOT to over schedule birthdays (and don't take him to the doctor's before a day of fun)!
Happy Birthday Liam! I cannot believe you are ONE! You are truly ONE-derful and we love you so much!

A Look Back
I cannot believe my little baby, my Liam is turning 1 tomorrow! This past year has gone by so fast, and it was truly the best year of my life! How is it possible in just one little year to have so many sleepless nights, complete joys, endless worrying, and love? And how is it that this tiny person has accomplished so much in one year? Crawling, talking, walking. Going from a newborn that needed me for everything to this little independent boy that has a mind of his own and knows what he wants.
I can only vaguely remember what my life was like before Liam. He is my everything, my perfect little boy and I am so BLESSED to have him in my life! I hoped and prayed for him for so long, and he is so much more than I ever imagined.
So to my Liam, thank you for being my son. Thank you for letting me be your Mommy! I love you so much!
